This month, we are highlighting resources that help celebrate National Family History Month, Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.

National Family History Month – AncestryLibrary

Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month – Mango Languages
With your library card, you can access a personalized experience that delivers a blend of Italian language learning features, exercises and personalized review with an award-winning conversational learning process. In addition to learning grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, Culture Notes provide a backdrop to learning material and let Italian culture come alive, setting you up to forge deeper connections with the Italian language.

Hispanic Heritage Month – Kanopy
Kanopy’s film collection showcases the richness and diversity of Hispanic stories and cultures. This thoughtfully curated selection of films spans powerful documentaries, award-winning features, and compelling narratives that highlight the richness and diversity of Hispanic heritage across the globe. Movies stream free with your library card.

Hispanic Heritage Month – Hispanic Life in America
Hispanic Life in America is the most comprehensive digital archive of primary source documents related to Hispanic American life. This collection is sourced from more than 17,000 global media outlets, including over 700 Spanish-language or bilingual publications, dating from 1704 to today.
More than 700 Suggested Searches, organized by historical eras, themes, topical areas and events, provide direct links to useful content. Examples of curated Suggested Searches include: “California Missions,” “Mexican War of Independence,” “Diego Rivera,” “West Side Story,” “The Cuban Missile Crisis,” and “Sonia Sotomayor.” Advanced search options are also available for customized research.
